This clay can be used for making both earthenware and stoneware pottery. Firing range - 1120°C -1240°C. Shrinkage (w-f) 12% at 1200°C. 0.32% expansion at 500°C. Texture (1-smooth 10 coarse) 6. Fired colour: Warm Buff / Grey.
This clay was developed by John Leach’s Muchelney pottery for their traditional high-temperature wood-firing process.It contains grog and gives a warm buff colour when fired.This clay can be used for both throwing and hand-building projects.
