This clay was developed by John Leach’s Muchelney pottery for their traditional high-temperature wood-firing process.It contains grog and gives a warm buff colour when fired.This clay can be used for both throwing and hand-building projects.
Cone6 oxidation (img1): Opal Lustre is a glossy, semi-opaque glaze that displays variegated shades of blues, greens, and purples. Breaks warm brown over texture. Cone10 reduction (img2): Colour flattens, and warm undertones come through.
